The Chestnut Group is organizing a benefit exhibition A River Runs Through It.  An exhibition celebrating and recording the Duck River and the Upper and Lower Watershed Area.  Dates of the Exhibition: Ocotber 9th, Patron's Night 5-8pm,  October 10-12, 2008

Doug and I went out exploring our own territory to find new places to paint and visit old haunts of mine that keep bringing me back because of the light and the mood and the beauty of the area.  We had the nicest day wandering and talking with folks we met who wondered who we were and what we were up to!  Everyone was willing if not amazed that I might want to paint there.  We visited half the day and scouted the other half.  A warm thank you to those who took the time to share their stories of the land and its people.  The watershed is indeed rich with beauty.
